Edie's Oscar Picks!
My darlings! I see it has been some time since I have written. This, I regret. I regret it more than the apple tree regrets losing its apples. I weep for this lost time more than the lush willow weeps with every gush of a cool breeze. Ah, me. Edie has been busy touring the world, entertaining suitors, and struggling with technology. I am not always in a position to share my thoughts.
That said, I thought it necessary to recognize this very special time of year. In our society, there is one night -- one splendid, beautiful night -- in which all those noble figures we love and admire come out to play. It's like Christmas, Hanukah, Ramadan, the Fourth of July, and Flag Day all rolled into one.
